RiverStone Wealth Management is a full service wealth management, investment advisory firm. We have grown steadily since our inception in the mid 1990’s, and the history of our name reflects some of that evolution. We were founded as the Avantus Group before merging with First Financial Securities and emerging as First Avantus Securities, Inc. We have evolved as a company over the past decade, now our image is evolving as well. Our staff is the same. We have not merged nor been acquired. Our new name RiverStone Wealth Management simply reflects an accumulation of subtle changes through the years, refinements of character, and the natural maturity that comes with growth. Throughout, commitment to outstanding client service has been at the forefront of our priorities. We own a unique position within the crowded financial services segment, not too big, not too small. We picked the best of each existing model and added our own focus on process and transparency. For instance, our business decision not to create proprietary products, like our global competitors (wirehouses), is based on our desire to offer advisors freedom to make recommendations based solely on what is in the best interest of the client. Likewise, having a barebones operation like many independents, without offices, conference rooms, unbiased research and the best technology, was unacceptable. RiverStone Wealth Management is somewhere in the middle. We have the network, support, technology and infrastructure you might see in a major wirehouse and the entrepreneurial spirit of a boutique, plus a dedication to help lead the industry to higher standards.
